Management Team Member Volunteer

Moorhead Special Olympics is in need of individuals, older adults, and small groups (2-6), to help manage the activities of the Moorhead Special Olympics.  No experience needed-very small time commitment.  Management Team meetings are held once a month; all training is provided.


Tour De Cure Volunteer

American Diabetes Association is looking for individuals, families, older adults, and small and large groups (2-20) to help with event set-up/break-down, registrations, volunteer check-in, parking, cheering teams, youth zone supervision, breakfast service, and lunch service. Tour DeCure will be Saturday, June 15th at the Oak Grove Park.  We are looking for volunteers anytime between 4am-4pm. Volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, breakfast and lunch provided by Olive Garden.


*4th of July Event Help Volunteer

Bonanzaville is in need individuals, families, older adults, small and large groups (2-25), and youth-minimum age of 13 years old-to be event volunteers to help with ticketing, face painting and inflatable games.  All volunteers will receive free admission to the all-day events for helping with a shift.  Shifts are from 2-3 hours each from 10am-8pm on July 4th at Bonanzaville.

Big Brother/Big Sister Mentor

Big Brothers Big Sisters is in need of individuals to meet with a “little brother/sister” every 1-2 weeks, doing a variety of activities that they choose together. Community-based Big Brother/Sister meets with their little brother/sister out in the community doing activities; school-based Big Brother/Sister meets with their little brother/sister one hour per week on-site at the Little’s School.  Days and times are flexible. School-based Big Brother/Sister meets one hour per week during the school year at Madison Elementary School; community-based Big Brother/Sister meets 2-4 hours at least every other week.


Hard Charge Fargo Volunteer

Hard Charge is in need of individuals and large groups (25+) to help with parking, greeter/information, waivers, registration/check-in, body markers, shout-out booth, bag drop, TV wrangling/production, water station, food/water at finish, starting and finish line, and merchandise/retail. The event will be held Saturday, June 15.  Various shifts are available from 6:30am to 4:30pm (5 hours in length) at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo.  This is a great opportunity for organizations to raise money.  We have a 25 for $500 program where an organization provides 25 volunteers and HARD CHARGE will donate $500 to their organization.

*Youth Court Volunteer

Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota is looking for mature, responsible people between the ages of 13 and 18 years old to serve on the Youth Court.  Youth Court is an alternative to formal court proceeding for youth who have been charged with an offense or are showing concerning behavior.  As a Youth Court volunteer you will participate as courtroom personnel in decisions that help your community.  You will have the opportunity to learn about the court system, gain valuable experience that can be used on college applications, serve as a positive role model, meet new friends and help your peers repair the harm that they have caused.  All volunteers must go through a 1 hour orientation prior to serving as a jury member on Youth Court and acquire 2 letters of recommendation from non-family members.  Youth Court hearings are held every Thursday (year-round) from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the NDSU Criminal Justice and Public Policy Building (1616 123th Ave N. Fargo). We ask that volunteers commit to attending 2 times a month but we are able to be flexible with your schedule on which dates you are able to participate.
