FirstLink is seeking a Call Specialist to work part time weekdays answering FirstLink 24-hour 2-1-1 Helpline and Suicide Lifeline.
The typical schedule week will be Monday through Friday during business days with one to three early evenings each month. The work week will be 25 to 29 hours/week.
Responsibilities include answering phones and providing information & referral, listening & support, crisis intervention services, and office administrative tasks.

SUICIDE SUPPORT PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The Coordinator will expand the Suicide Follow-up Call program and oversee suicide prevention services. The Coordinator will also provide direct service to callers reaching FirstLink through the 2-1-1 Helpline, Crisis Line, and National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and participating healthcare referral sites. Tasks will include providing follow-up telephone support to individuals at risk of suicide, answering phones, providing information, referral, listening, support, crisis intervention, suicide intervention, building and maintaining relationships with partnering agencies, and other administrative responsibilities. Occasional travel is required.
This is a part time position (29 hours a week), primarily working business day hours with at least one evening shift per week. This person will have on-call responsibilities once every 2 months. This position is funded by a three year grant. Continuation of the program is dependent upon future funding.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service related field with a preference for applicants with crisis intervention experience.
